• New emojis introduced in 2019 included a sloth, flamingo, yawning face and butter.

• 157 new emojis were approved in 2018, which brought the then total number of emojis to 2,823.

  • New emojis in 2018 included redheads, a softball, kangaroo, lobster, and skateboard.

• In 2018, this Game of Thrones tweet proved to be the most popular of the day.
